Winding down, this week is gonna be pretty slow until color wars break out, probably on Thursday. The other day i went to a waterfall and jumped off it into the water. I do have pictures of it but i'll wait because there was actually a pro photographer there with a 3 grand camera taking shots of us and he said as soon as he home he's gonna email them to us so that'll be sweet. It was probably about a 50 foot jump, super fun, casey would be super jealous. In other news the truck won't shift into park so i gotta work on that when i get a chance. Survivor ended i made it to 6 people then got voted out. The winner got 100 bux and is using the cash to buy drinks and throw a huge party at the end of camp for the survivor players. Today me and Cal set up some crash mats and practiced rappelling down the climbing tower as fast as we could right into the ground. Super fun.
And finally since i'm sure someone is waiting for me to comment on Favre.
Of course i want to see him as the quarterback in the fall but as i only get to check the news a couple times a week i'm mostly just waiting to get home then i'll see what the story is and pick up following it.

Mecha Striesand
Well well looks my hours of aimless car research is starting to pay off. SO yesterday i was sitting around in the bunk minding my own business when my friend walks in and asks if i could jump start her car. Now for the good part. The car was none other than a 2006 Toyota Prius. Now i didn't get a chance to take a picture so you'll have to picture this mentally. Parking lot, two large SUV's one on each side of the prius. On the other side of one SUV there are a couple empty spaces. Now as Ben knows (because i've explained to him exactly what is involved in jumping a prius before) Priuses have an auxilary battery in the back, the back hatch opens electrically so to get to it when the battery is dead you need to go through the back doors. So the jumper cable wasn't long enough to reach that so that wasn't gonna work. Now at this point you might be thinking ok so put it in neutral and push it back till you can get to the battery. Nope, not on a prius they don't have a neutral unless they are turned on. So we move to under to hood so see what we can do their. We find a point of contact for jumping to the starter. At this point we realize there is a sizeable gap between the front of the suv on the left and a tree in front of it. So a guy with a small car which easily fits in the gap tries to pull in but doesn't get very far due to a large stump on the side of the tree. The car had the battery on the drivers side so the cables wouldn't reach. Ok so that didn't work. My truck has the battery on the pass side so i figured i'd give it a try. I was able to squeeze in with about 2 inchs to spare on the SUV side and an inch to spare on the tree side. That was of course with the mirrors folded in. Had to crawl over the stump with one side of the truck which was sweet. But anyway made it in, popped the hood and watched as my friends jumped the prius right up. Of course when the Prius started the car alarm instantly kicked in and caused about a minute of annoying screaming before we shut it off. And that is how we jump a prius.

Tom's Rhinoplasty
Survivor on sunday was awsome. First challenge was at 6:30 in the morning and it was a capture the flag. Each team was brough to their own location in the woods where a 10 foot diameter circle was spray painted on the ground and we had to hide (bury) a flag somewhere in the circle. Then we were given a compass and some bearings and sent to find the other teams circle. Well we went in competely the wrong direction for the first 15 minutes because our compass reverse magnetized and was telling us north was south blah blah. So i was super grumpy cuz we ended up in the middle of nowhere extremely far from the goal. Via radio we learned that the other team was at our site digging already. well moving forward we had to do a lot of back tracking and in the end it took us about an hour to find the other teams circle but we did eventually find it and i of course dug up their flag before they found ours (which i hid super well obviously). The losing team was very unhappy. Later on we did a water ballon drop while flying on the zipline, our team won that also. Then we did a relay race around an island in canoes, row boats, kayaks, swimming ect. we won that also. Finally the merge. With 9 people left we merged and did the first individual immunity challenge. A COOKIE EATING CONTEST. So basically each player was given a bag of cookies such as the chips ahoy bag with two rows. And 6 cartons of milk. The first two people to finish everything or the two who finished the most won immunity. We are talkijng choc chip by the way. Well sure enough i dominated and finished all my cookies and milk with a large margin. Only one other guy even finished and he puked a lot. So two people were voted out and though they won't announce them until next sunday i'm pretty sure they are both part of my alliance which is not good. Basically i have to win the rest of the immunity challenges or i'm out cuz people think i'm a huge threat. Oh well we;ll see what happens.

Damien
Finally some pictures worth posting. Day off today, decided to spend a good portion of it fishing. Brough Cal my english friend along because he's never been fishing before. After some coaching he caught a sunfish on a live worm. I also started the day off with a couple sunfish all under 4 inchs then quickly advanced to the largemouth bass. Mind you all of these were caught from shore with a tiny shitty fishing rod with 4 pound test and a hula popper as the lure when i caught the bass. Other important updated i survived the first 3 challenges of survivor. My team (red team) won two outa three. The first challenge was a race through the woods carrying one teammember. Obviously my forte i was able to do a lot of the work and along with another eagle scout who ended up on my team we won by like 3 minutes. The whole thing is being video taped so i'll work on getting that or getting a link to it online when its done. In other news i went for a drive in the truck today to the local walmart with a couple friends to pick up some supplies. Still running like a champ. Oh and today my groupleader (40 year old jew) asked me if i could jumpstart his car for him cuz he left his headlights on. Obviously a good laugh. Still awaiting updates on the c/kasey situation.

Mr. Hanky, The Christmas Poo
quick update.
wednesday was day off, went to nyc and spent day with a couple of englishmen. Pretty fun went inside the library where the huge wave from The Day After Tomorrow hit and stranded everyone, it's been pretty much rebuilt since the movie and theres no more flood damage. also had a couple dunkin donuts iced coffees, super good. last night camped out in the woods and ate smores, lots and lots of smores. Survivor starts on sunday and continues on the next 3 sundays after that. there are 14 ppl and 4 people get out the first day, priliminary goals are to survive the first week.

Starvin' Marvin
Camp has begun and i'm pretty much constantly busy. It's pretty sweet and my campers are 11 years old. mostly little bastards but i let them do whatever i want. Tomorrow i'm auditioning for Survivor here at camp. I get a 3 minute time slot to audition and basically just impress the judges so i'm thinking i'm going to brew like a gallon of tea then drink it with another guy. I'll let you know how that goes. right now it's raining and i have poison ivy covering about 80% of my body + or - 5% Yesterday i did a lake swim which was awsome cuz it was nice out but theres some seriously stag water in this place and i came out covered in weeds and reeking of fish and other fishy organmisms. Yesterday i was also on duty so i had to work in the canteen giving out soda and snacks and ice cream to the campers, super fun cuz i got to eat and drink as much as i wanted all night. that was on top of eating 7 slices of cake for dinner last night. you really dont realize how good cake is until you've gone without it for 2 weeks.

Pinkeye
orientation week is almost over the campers arrive tomorrow afternoon. During one of our meetings today the camp owners/directors announced that next month theres going to be some film producers at camp for a couple days filming us for part of some movie, sounds pretty cool i'll let you know more about that when i learn more. Also i spent part of my afternoon spreading mulch, which i love doing, and now in about 10 minutes i'm being rewarded with a pizza so thats awsome. also to look forward to is the Outdoor Adventure staff (OA) versus the waterfront staff (lifeguards) in a game of dodgeball. I'll let you know how that goes. oh and theres a little stream that flows through camp, today it was raging (obviously some rain up north or a dam release) so i've started trying to estimate the head and velocity of the water to figure out how much power potential is in this place. i bet its A LOT.

Death
last night the camp bussed the whole camp staff to the local bar where we spent te night. i think mike can relate when i say having a boss who buys you drinks is amazing. altough mike its evenmore fun when your coworkers are all college age too. moved into new bunk also yesterday and today the campers luggage showed up. these kids bring a digusting amount of shit to camp. on a more annoying note the staff computer lounge only has 3 coputers and one has a broken keyoard. i'm currenly using that one. typing with the on-screen keyoard is really really gay. i hope that expains my lack of details and short sentences.

An Elephant makes love to a pig
ok so i've been super busy lately doing lots of super fun stuff but today it poured and a couple meetings got canceled so i decided to wait in line for the computers. Still too lazy to post any pictures (at least i admit that, aka not in denial like casey). Ordered some climbing shoes yesterday which was a pain in the ass cuz a lotta companies won't ship to PO Boxes which is gay but i got around it. Anyway food around here isn't too amazing so i'm not gonna post the meals like mike but i will mention that the brits have starting wearing on me cuz i started drinking A LOT of tea and speaking in British dialect.
thats all for now folks

Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride
Started training today, pretty much just team building games, knot tying, and some rapelling. Piece of cake. Made friends with all the outdoor adventure folks, theres 18 of us. Some Brits and some Australians came in last night they all have heavy accents it's pretty intense. I guess Casey would know what thats like, cept he doesn't read this blog so it doesn't matter. Thats about it, i was gonna take pics today but it rained then got dark so i bailed.

Volcano
OK I've arrived, it was a pretty uneventful ride here but i did pass some cows and a BMW going the speed limit down a huge hill. Anyway upon arrival i realized that there was absolutely no structure to my check in and in fact there wasn't even a check in. After walking around for a while and talking to random people i was directed to a bulletin board with bunk assignment for the week on it. So i found that, found my bunk, and dropped my bags off. I ran into a whole bunch of really friendly guys in my bunk whom were all part of a group of like 30 Israelis. The guy and chicks are all really cool, they just finished serving in the military and decided to come here for the summer. They only arrived a day before me but were able to show me around and we played a pretty long intense game of volleyball. I also learned a few Hebrew swears as they constantly speak it. Didn't unpack the camera yet and I'm not looking forward to putting pics up because this computer is hella slow.
Anyways i start training bright and early tomorrow and all the rest of the international staff should be arriving. As for right now I'm a minority.

Weight Gain 4000
Well today is going pretty well so far. Slept till 11 then went down to the ol park on the moped to play some baseball with the regulars. The score was 29 - 16 my team being the 16 but it's important to note that we didn't really have a pitcher and in the top of the 9th they even put me in to pitch, needless to say i didn't do well but was pretty much on par with the the other pitchers before me. I did NOT strike out once during the game and made an amazing catch from deep right field to get the 1st out in the 7th inning. After that i went home and drank about half a gallon of water because i was super thirsty from not bringing a drink. Later on i'm going out to eat with my mom probably going to Oasis on Pine St because they have HUGE portions of pasta and it's pretty well priced. Besides that i gotta start packing for camp, clean/oil the truck once it stops raining and probably work on the moped a little mo
Don't expect an update tomorrow, too lazy, lots of driving though!
Oh and mike i figured it out, my truck has about 67 times the mileage that your car has. So keep that in mind when you drive it. Every mile puts you that much closer to looking like the picture above.

Cartman gets an Anal Probe
Afternoon folks, after Mike started his blog yesterday and the Rogans have both left the state it seems like an appropriate time for me to kick off mine . Besides if i wait till i go to camp to create this i would get frustrated and bail. Nothing interesting to tell about today since i only woke up 2 hours ago and have been working on my truck since then. Yesterday i was in NH where i cut down about 10 trees, clear-cut too non of that selective bs, after that i made a fire in a barrel and dropped my moped exhaust pipe in to decarbon it. For anyone that doesn't understand what the means (ben) you can look it up. Upon returning home i painted it and installed it and now it works like a charm. Unfortunately the headlight does not as there is a bad ground which took a super long time to find even with a multimeter. Oh another fun story i ate nothing but celery for lunch cuz it's super healthy (like our smoothies) but now i dont feel well so i'll probably go snack on some pepperjack cheese after this. I also got a piece of plexiglass to make the hood for my paludarium in the fall which i'm super excited about. Heres a picture of what my paludarium should look similar to.
